Select a certificate for authentication – Error 403

Hi guys, a few weeks ago I got an issue while browsing my web which is hosted in my enterprise organization. That issue has impacted all my client’s computers in order to open that web. However, I try some times on the internet, then I found an article that guides me to the root cause of the problem.

Issue:

When I access to Web, it pop-up “Select a certificate for authentication” why I click OK it shows me error 403 – Forbidden: access is denied. But if I click Cancel, I could access to the website.

This issue is from the IIS SSL Settings which has been set to require SSL for client access. To resolve, it is not complicated by following my scenario with simply a few steps. Then you will be fixed it. LET Start with me ->

Open your IIS manager -> Select Site that you are getting issue -> find the SSL Settings

On the SSL Settings uncheck the Require SSL and Ignore on Client certificates

Then, please restart your IIS service, If is still not resolve you may restart your Server. Now you have done it!!!

Please let me know by comment below if you fixed or not fixed it, I will try my best to help you. Thanks.
